Onboarding
Bring your books
Import the LP schedule and portfolio from whatever they live in today. Columns are mapped, you confirm, and the deterministic engines take it from there.
Import
Investors, positions, opening balances
Order of operations
For a fund with history
- Import positions with cost and current value.
- Import the LP schedule with paid-in, distributed and allocated P&L to date.
- Quarternd posts one opening entry as of the opening date and locks that quarter.
- Tie ledger cash to the bank statement in the first close.
How it posts
Opening balance sheet
Per LP: contributions, distributions and allocated P&L land in their capital subaccounts. Fund side: unrealized appreciation from imported marks, and cash for the rest. Cash must come out ≥ 0 or the import stops and tells you which column disagrees.
Not imported
Handed to the close
Individual historic calls, wires and expenses are not recreated line by line; history enters as balances. Side letters and fee rules are entered on the investor once imported.
